Steve I haven't had it done as the sniff test didn't show a failure and a pressure test lost a tiny amount after about 30 minutes. So far I've replaced the header tank and cap as a precaution and the water level has stayed level since I posted so hopefully it was one of them but I couldn't see any where they had failed. I will monitor it through the next few months as it will get more use again as the salt disappears and it warms up.

Well I've done the (careful)sniff test and all seems to be well, the drop in coolant turned out to be a slight leak at the offside front
It's weird because it wasn't even clattery when it started
