Today, we replaced the Spark Plug Wires and new MSD coils. Still running rough. Diagnosis. #3 injector is shorting out. So I guess, I need to go to the next step now. Replace all injectors. According to the Wiki, I need to get a a 3 bar sensor. Do I need to get anything else? I do want to upgrade the Turbo in the future. Not too radical and no major engine rebuiding. Any suggestions?

If you're not doing anything radical, I'd humbly suggest staying with the standard injectors and MAP sensor, fitting a mountain chip and enjoying the car. The stock turbo moves enough air to do nicely up to the limit of the 2 Bar sensor. IMO, the difference between .95 Bar boost and 1 Bar is not nearly so drastic as the difference between stock and .95 Bar. Search recent posts - someone recently found a NAPA cross-reference for the injectors.

I would like upgrade to a another Turbo....a Garrett GT2560R, a different intercooler and a rising fuel regulator . Do I need to get a different wastegate? Is there a liquid cooled Intercooler available . I really dont want to mess with engine internals or port....just make the car more driveable. Ok...maybe some porting.

Thanks, I found the NAPA part and it is $174. I can probably get the part cheaper but The High Performance RC injectors are $100. One of the other injectors have some corrrosion at the connector.

I didn't realize the RCs are that much cheaper than a generic replacement. In that case, I'd do the RCs. But unless you're truly planning an all-out horsepower assult, I'd stick with the stock size. The combination of 550cc injectors and 3BAR sensor does work and does handle high (1+ Bar) boost, but I don't think it runs as cleanly as the stock setup.

Tomorrow I will call RC in California. I just want an upgraded car but with same basic engine. Goes back to the Law of Diminishing Returns. I dont mind spending a $2gs and getting an extra 50 hp. The next 50 hp cost an extra 10Gs. Thank you.
I would have loved to have bought Dr. Physics (sp), my fellow Texan, but it wasn't in the cards. That the was the buy of the century.

Chip and 2 1/4" exhaust will give you approx 200bhp
spend 2k on turbo upgrade for up to 300bhp.
