Lumpy at idle

Postby elaverick » Mon 01.07.2019, 12:38

Hi all,
My car has taken to being a little lumpy at idle. Nothing extreme, but just a bit bubbly and smelling a little more petrolly from the exhaust than I'm used to. As I'm also suffering from overboost, I thought I'd get it booked in at my new local Lotus garage in Cwmbran and have them check the base timing. I'm also wondering now if it's worth replacing the coil packs as well?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Edward

Hi there.
That sounds a lot like mine. I had a high reading at the MOT today 5/8/2019 so I was browsing for some information.
I have replaced the MAP sensor as the Elanscan showed an error for it. It made a difference to smoother running but hasn't cured the overfueling, it still smells rich.

I wondered if your lotus dealer found anything ?

Regards
