Coil Pack 3 pin plug wiring.

During checking out my cooling pump cut in issue (now solved), I have disturbed the wiring loom under the oil separator trap . The cables going from the CAS and coolant sensors .

I have lost the spark which i proved with the strobe timing light ,but think i may have sorted that now . Ive been ringing through the cables from the CAS to the coil pack . On the 3 pin connector to the coil plate, i cant find where the B connection should go to. Its a black wire and i strongly suspect it should be connected to an earthing point somewhere as about 4" from the plug is a broken crimping ferell from a ring connector . It was all wrapped up in insulating tape but one end goes to the 3 pin plug, the other towards the injector rail maybe?. Its not connected to earth at present .

It is on the wiring diagrams but i cant figure out if it should be earthed .

So, there is a ring ground at the ignition module plate.

(page 62 of the engine management pdf)

This photo is a bit of a hot mess, but you can see the loose ring on the right side of the image.

(taken from the front of the car looking towards where the coolant reservoir would be)

No , not that one . I have now cleaned that one up but i don't understand why the coil plate is earthed but insulated from the longeron, which is also earthed. Maybe some disruption to other earthing from the coil requires it to be separated ?.

The one i am looking for is on the coil back ABC plug , and is the central black pin.

I cant trace this wire and it looks a bit ropey . Its goes off towards the injector rail cable . I may have to strip the insulation tape back further to try and track it.

Ive marked the pin and the cable i am trying to find with a green arrow. I dont know if you recognise it ? its show on the drawing.
