Thanks to Nige and Clemmo for all the advise regarding my dodgy running problem. A company in the USA (www.vintageperformance.com) do a high performance igniter part no. D2003. I`m trying to order one. I`ll keep you posted.

I`ve just fitted my intermtor pattern ignitor unit and i am still experiencing an intermittent `flat spot`. I am sure i`ll conquer the problem before Donington!

Just got it MOT`d today, still got running probs. Difficult to start from cold, buggers about `till warm then runs fine. Next on the list for replacement are coolant teperature sensor, then EGR valve, IAC valve, and although my ignition coil is only two years old, i might try to get a Daewoo Espero one to try. Oh, the MOT emissions test was fine, but maybe a bit weak. Only spent a year trying to solve the problem. Shows how good my diagnostic skills are (not). Ho hum..

Just been looking a another thread and i`ve been overlooking the vaccum pipes. I think i`ll give them a thorough check.

Have a brand new unused NA coil (Lotus) in my 'rainy day' spares box should you need to try it.
