I am not sure if you can see my starter in the picture bellow but I can tell from your picture that yours is not the same, it may work but it is deffinately not the same. It looks like your connections are on the wrong side

Can you post a different pic of the starter? I want to see the other side, its not original but it might have the correct hook-ups but I need to see the other side

I have been having intermittent starts for the last 3 months...brought to local workshop and lotus dealer and switced several items including battery, spark plugs, fuel pump. Finally, it was diagnosed as the starter. I thought i had to pay $$$ and wait indefinitely for another overseas order. Upon removing the starter, it was actually a rather common unit made by NipponDenso. Brought to a specialist shop, witnessed them serviced the entire unit (fully disassembled) and replaced the solenoid within. Retightened and tested. Shop gives 110% confidence it will work and last the next 3 years at least. Re-installed the starter, VRROOOM! Confident first crank started the engine. Paid workshop 45GBP for service and parts. Another workshop for detaching and re-install another 30GBP. All in all, 2 hours down time only!
Well worth every cent...
