Window demister vents

Postby Leung » Thu 25.08.2005, 03:16

Hi:Just picked up my Elan yesterday I noticed that the four plastic demister vents were warped. Can anyone tell me how to remove them so I can bend them back to shape :?

Congratulations!
Not sure if I'd try. You run the risk of snapping them!

Most of the vents I have seen have some warp to them, not sure how you could fix it even if you get the vents off. You can get the two on the sides of the dash off by simply removing the duct work under the dash and then there is a metal bracket that holds them in place by pressure. This bracket comes off very easily. The two vents in the center of the dash have to first be removed with the center section of the dash, more work than I think you want to do. :?
