My rear view mirror has fallen off the window and I've tried putting it back on with several glues etc from Halfords and places, but it just wont stick! Any ideas what will work? Thanks

Did you thoroughly degrease the glass screen and mirror mounting first ?? If not, the glue won't take. Absolute alcohol usually does the trick

I Know this may sound kinda silly...
but were you gluing just the mount or the whole mirror...
When I glued my mount back on... I left it for 24 hours before reattaching the mirror...
make sure the mount is in the right place so you can slide the mirror on...

This applies equally for any car mirror falling off… go to your nearest Ford dealer and pay 32p for one of theirs…
In your case miss elan you might have to do a bit of cleaning first. Have a look in the bathroom for a bottle marked…Surgical Spirits
Ray
Edit… I’ve not made that very clear… the 32p is for a double sided pad, the same as they use in the factory.

It'll be one of the 'several glues' that's coming off - stick at it bit longer...

I can see! Managed to stick the mount on, then put the mirror back on.

Copied from elsewhere in order to delete a duplicate thread:
TJi wrote:So apparently my poor car has decided it doesn't like German cobblestones. This morning I got in the car and the centre mirror had detached from the windscreen and was dangling by the light wires.

I wasn't particularly happy.
What can I use to stick this back on? Some kind of glue?
