Replacement Handbrake / Gear Gaitors

Postby tb10 » Mon 30.05.2011, 13:19

Hi Guys,

I'm looking to replace my handbrake and gearstick gaitors and swear blind I saw someone on here who had got replacement black ones with red stitching. I've tried to search but must be having a 'senior moment' as I cannot for the life of me locate the thread!!

I've come across this website www.jfboots.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=562 - are they the chaps to contact?

regards and TIA

Hi John,

I removed mine and took them to a local retrimmer and they charged £20 each to replicate them.
You could then choose any colour leather & stitching combination.
Green 1990 SE 89,000 miles - Sold 2014
Red 1990 SE 28,000 miles - Bought 2020. I should drive this more often!

I had mine re-trimmed along with the seats & door card inserts but I see no reason not to follow Denny's suggestion if you only want the gaitors done.

Where are you based? Maybe somebody can recommend a local re-trimmer?

Hi John, you mean like this?

I got them from: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/TOP-GAITERS-BOOTS

I just sent them a message about red stitching and they said it was no problem, they sent them quickly as well.
