3 Gauges Removal (FBT)

Postby paza1 » Thu 13.10.2005, 17:45

Has anyone done an in depth write up on this? I have seen the description in Repairs but could do with a little more help. After removing the cover it looks rather complicated in there :!: My plan is to remove the dials, clean the inside of the glass and refit (as already described in Repairs). Incidentally, the hole mod has been done but I still get misty gauges. I assume this is normal in the UK at this time of year with the heater on and hood down.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Actually, I remember it being rather easy to get them out. Just use some masking tape to label all the wiring as you disconnect, then I think it was just unscrewing the brackets that hold them in. They slide out through the front.
Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Yep.

Dead easy and your symptoms vis-a-vis the misting are quite normal.

Yep

Rob found it dead easy! I made stupid comments (and tea) to maintain morale.
