Yep, I got one last year. IIRC it was sjsportscars. Or maybe paul matty's. Be warned though a bright shiny new leather gearknob will make the rest of your leather interior look tatty and old...
You will then want: new gearstick gaitor, new handbrake lever gaitor, new seat covers, new door cards and a new steering wheel!!!

Those of you who have replaced the shift knob, how do you keep the black leather shift boot up? It attaches to the factory shift knob.

I used double sided number plate sticky tape......its a sort of foam thing and really sticky...couple of turns round the shitfer and then slide the boot over leaving the tab from the end of the sticky sticking out......when in the right spot I pulled the tape out and its stuck there ever since!!!!

I used a Richbrook gearshaft sleeve i got from Demon-tweaks ( short one ) , pushes up to your knob & then tightens with 4 allen screws tight on your shaft, then the gaiter fits on the sleeve as it did on your original knob. Dead easy & really smart, comes in anodized silver, red, blue, titanium look, satin silver or titanium, priced at £12.95 each. You can see the sleeve under the gearknob.

Paul's Handbrake

Postby Virgin Dave » Thu 29.06.2006, 16:39

Paul

I love the look of your interior and would like to know what mods you did for the handbrake.

Where did you get the parts?

Dave, that was my 1st elans interior, but the handbrake is the same on blacky. Parts came from Demon Tweaks ( 01978 664555 ) & were Momo Aluminium handbrake, part no. momm15511501115. You would also require the small rubber adaptor, part no. moma225011500002. These were £63.16 in total, & easy to fit. Let me know if you want anymore help ?
