As others have said, replace the pads when fitting new discs & bed them in properly.

Interesting that Lotus finally put 4-pots on their top-o-line Exige:

2008 Lotus Exige S 240 (2,077 pounds)
"The extra grunt from the engine requires larger front brakes. The ventilated and cross-drilled front rotors are slightly larger at 310mm and the 2-piston fixed front calipers from AP Racing are now four-piston units with sport brake pads. Stopping distances aren't expected to be much shorter, but the new binders improve fade resistance."
MY NOTE: The rear brakes still use Brembo single-piston sliding calipers with 282mm diameter discs. Question: Is mixing caliper brands the same as having tyres from different manufacturers? If you said no, then think if you've EVER seen a car off the assy-line with different tyre brands F/R!

time flys since I last used this thread.

I now need new pistons and seal kits, are B&G the place to go, or alternative suppliers ?

Has anybody tried EBC Greenstuff or Redstuff pads with AP 5100 Calipers ? My wheels are minging with Mintex brake dust so will change front when I do PNM rears.
