Help needed - Rear Shockers

Hi gus/Gals I fitted OEM rear shockers on my car and the ride height has gone up significantly! I had AVO coilovers on before. Does anyone have a picture of a rear oem shock with spring fitted? I am wondering if the lower "platform" which came off was for the AVO's and not the originals. It does not fit "securely" ,

Which rear shocks did you use? The FED version create a higher ride height on the UK version due to head / tail lamp position rules and the much heavier bumpers. The lower spring platforms on the stock shocks are fixed and don't get changed or altered.

Any chance you used shocks from South West Lotus? The correct for STOCK UK SE dampers is C100D6011H, The FED version is B100D6025H.

The S2 used E100D6011H.

My guess too is he has maybe got the Fed set up. I've seen quite a few of them over here and it always looks very odd

I bought a UK one (not SW Lotus Fed one) and one from an Italian supplier

I think I have fitted the AVO bases - which raises the height considerably. I will remove them and check the numbers on the the shocks when I do this.

So the spring bases are the ones built into the shocks? Just to double check before I dismantle the rear......again

The italian one is the correct UK code - I will check the other one

Yes, the spring just sits on the platform welded to the shock body.
