Does the dash have to be removed to replace the servo?

Yes, although I've not actually removed the servo.

Removing the dash is not as hard as it sounds. Easier on the back if you have the seats out. Only special tool I'd reccomend is a 1/4" flexible extension for removing the screws in the screen vents.

Hardest parts are undoing the bolt behind the glovebox, and getting the bottom part over the gearstick. You'll need a puller for the steering wheel (easy to make).
Unplug the column stalks as it makes taking it out and putting it back easier. Having done it both ways it is easier and quicker to do it in one piece.

Thanks Simon Just found the servo is ok just a stuck vacuum non return valve.
