Having received my LGM rollbar I'd guess that its about 25 lbs. I've not installed it as yet and won't likely do so until the spring.

I've got both. The weight of Daves strut brace is no more than a lb or so, not insignificant if you subscribe to the Lotus philosophy of adding lightness ;-)

but in my view well worth it for the additional stiffness it adds to the rear of the car and very easy to fit. Maries hoops also brace the car by connecting the top of the B posts via their rear braces. The weight of the hoops is far more significant and I guess 25 lb is about right. To compensate for the additional weight I started running again as it's easier than taking weight out of the car!

For those interested, I did get off my duff this weekend and started on 12 bars! I made a jig for the assembly and bought a 14" metal cutting saw to help cut the bars to size instead of trying to hacksaw or Dremel my way through it. Geez, what a time savings! The jig should allow me to polish them in about 1/2 the time, too.

I don't want to think about how much time the metal saw would have saved me when I fabricated my intake...

Thank you all so much for your patience! The bars are now fabricated and will be ready to go very soon. I was ready to polish them as in the past, but am getting a quote today on powder coating. I think the finish will look nicer and will require less care. The "standard" bars do need a little repolishing after a while as they may lose their shine. Plus, being in the boot they may get whacked by whatever you are hauling around. Hard to hurt a good powder coat.

However if the quote adds more than $5-10/bar, I'll likely just polish them. For those who have expressed interest, I'll be PMing you shortly for mailing addresses and to see if we can group ship some UK bars to save postage.

Please note that 8 bars of 12 are potentially spoken for. If you do have an interest, let me know right away. Thanks all!

Dave, just in case you don't have me down for a bar (hopefully you do), I in for sure and if the powder coating adds even $20 or so to the cost I don't consider that outrageous.
