Front lower TCA, Ball joint and hub diferences ?

Looking for some help..

Due to a slight misshap I have to replace my LH front lower TCA

Looking at the parts manual there is only 1 part number for this part A100C133S?

I had a spare from my donor car which is the previous car off the production line. So I went to swap the arms but the Lower ball joint is different it would not fit the hub??

The diameter of the ball joint is larger. Also the taper where it goes into the hub is different. They also have different threads??


I have ordered a new ball joint but it is the same size as my old damaged part.

Just wondering if I am missing some information in the parts manual? were there different lower arms, ball joints and hubs??

I would rather not splash out on a new lower arm and may look at a local repair or replace the whole lower arm and hub. But would rather keep everything the correct size.

Anyone else come accross any diferences??

I can not explain the differences in the TCA's. I thought that they were all the same...

The good news is I have hopefully managed to fix the problem today by having a bushing made for the ball joint.

I am still concerned if this will work. So I will be going back again tomorrow to have it welded in place.... Better safe than sorry

Consecutive cars with different suspension components? Only with a Lotus.
Even so, how unlucky is that?
