Bush questions ?

For those of you with greater knowledge and experience
There are two bushes for the same position D100C6001F (series 1) and E100C6001F (series 2)
Shown on the drawing (51) the Lower raft mounting bush.
My questions are:
Is the series 2 a "better/upgrade" than the series 1 ?
Will the series 2 fit a series 1 car ?

For other bushes:
Powerflex are much cheaper than OEM bushes but what would you go for ?

where did you find powerflex set for sale ?

im trying to make my own bushings with no luck so far after 2 months of on and off attempts of pouring resins. i may give up on the whole task if these powerflex kits you speak of are considerably cheaper than what i seen on SJ's website

I put poly wherever I could, and the car feels a tad stiffer but is getting better as I put more miles on it

Don't get caught up with the name - SWLC call them Polyflex, but there is a clue in the pictures, which show Powerflex silicone grease

I can tell you that these particular bushes are only available from either SWLC or SJ (as long as their stock remains, but they *may* not be able to secure further products from the sole manufacturer in the future)..... fear not, SWLC will still be able to get them, so they will not be going obsolete. They are NOT available direct from the manufacturers website, but do not worry, they will be available for ever as the bloke who own all the rights to them, and where they can be sold, is a decent geezer who just happens to be an Elan owner.......

Now, if this seems like a cryptic message, then maybe it is written that way intentionally, and a personal conversation may help you to understand the situation.

AFAIK those bushes were beefed up for the S2 because of the suspension changes and the S2 wheels being somewhat heavier than the SE's.
