Just a short ask, any thoughts what boost/power are the standard injectors good for?

Thanks

The short story is that.... running a standalone ecu at around 1 bar, all is fine on the dyno, on the road at 6000 rpm it pops and bangs and holds back, i was thinking it could be the standard injectors which are maxed out? the contradiction to the injectors maxing out is.... the dyno operator played around with the cam angle sensor (closing the gap) and this improved things a little.

Was the base timing set as per manual?
That said: there is also experience here where base timing procedure did not work, but trial and error and lots of trial runs on public road with elanscan delivered the result as expected.
After a check, the base timing was off the chart, but the car ran great!
Probably the nick in the cranc shaft pulley was not correct…

I would start by setting the base timing though!

With a run with elanscan in the current situation will show the duty cycle of the injectors!

What was the reason for and result of closing the gap please?

There is some background and dyno charts on the Mountain Chips site - See link above.
Also try the Robietherobot.com site for a good discussion on Injectors. (same injector as Impulse RS)

Have you checked the fuel pressure? If the issue is marginal and you could try increasing the fuel pressure.
