Yes, just picked it up last week-end. Take a look under Old Project - Old Member.
It seems to run more than 0,90 bar on the gauge, and mine is only showing 0.80 with Everest chip, so maby you gave him something special. :?:

Delta,
Do the boost values you quote come from the gauge or ElanScan?

Just for comparison, mine gives 0.86 to 0.9 bar with an Everest.

Do I recall looking at some logs of yours? I think you were getting up to 80% duty on the BSV but only pulling 0.8bar - that generally indicates exhaust backpressure, an intake leak or a dump valve that opens a bit prematurely.

The Bling mobile is non-standard in many ways - I think maybe the wastegate in it opens a lot later than standard (hazy memory). Anyway the only thing special about that chip is that its the only one I never got paid for.

He has promised to send a cheque, he contacted me when he sold the car, so I live in hope.

I'm in the same situation with Game-on he owes me some money from the purchase of one of Marie's roll bars, he also contacted me when he sold the car but I've yet to see a cheque. I have his address and telephone numbers though.

Me again.
Fantastic program Elanscan, as i suspected after logging various runs it has confirmed my seat of the pants feeling and maximum power is achieved at .5 boost and higher boost does not increase power. Is there any trial i can do to eliminate or test for exhaust restrictions. Or any other suggestions ?
Ken.

Ken,

Sorry not to reply before - I've got a bit a family emergency on the go right now. If you want to e.mail any logs to me I'll be happy to have a look at them when I get the chance.

I've been having trouble sending out orders in a timely way - due to family stuff and a demanding day job - and buyers, reasonably enough, have been getting pissed with me  I do the Elan stuff as a hobby - its supposed to be enjoyable not give me more work-like grief, so I have been considering whether to keep going with the chips at all :?

For the time being I think I'll update my site so that the prospective buyer makes an initial small deposit on ordering and only pays the balance when I e.mail to say the part is ready for shipping.

Alan,

Sorry to hear you are getting grief, we all have real lives to live and they often get in the way of our hobbies. I think your solution is sensible, people who want chips from you need to understand that it is a hobby and not the way you make your living.

I agree entirely with what Nigel says. We don't need you busting your balls when you have far more important things to attend to.
Besides, who knows when we might really need to lean on you!

J for joke, Alan.

I hope everything gets sorted out for you mate.

Alan,

I can relate to everything you mention above. From experiance, if you're not enjoying it, then don't do it. Take a break, do something else and when you're ready, come back and give it the focus/passion it deserves.

Keep the faith and I look forward to catching up with you at Stoneleigh i.e a month+ rest ought to be enough  .

I've suspended chip sales for now. They'll resume in January.

Alan
After reading through all the posts about your chips in paticular S2 chips and so on it all seems very complicated and am pleased that people with a damn site more knowledge about these things are around for people like me to gleen snippits of information off.
I would like to get the everest chip ( another mod in the long list of things that are intended ) but a simple question for you would be is - With my S2 which has the peco exhaust fitted (No cat just the precat remaining) & K&N drop in, is the everst ok or would the K2/Kili be better?
Many thanks.
Si

P.S. You have prob answered this hundreds of times in different ways, so sorry to be a pain.

The Everest will do nicely.

If you want to emulate the Kilimanjaro, just don't press the right pedal all the way down.

There is no better chip really, its purely a matter of preference. One is right on the limit of the boost can safely be achieved and the other sits a little further back in the envelope. However, as John says you can operate at the lower boost level quite easily with an Everest, it only attempts to hit top boost at 100% throttle.
