Right, to get the show on the road we need everybody who wants a set of hoses to contact Samcos distributor, which is Amber performance products.

Their telephone number is 0845 2600015, ask for James and mention LEC and the M100 group buy.

The 'coolant hose kit' is £142.00 +vat +£8.95 postage.

The additional 'turbo to intercooler' pipe is around £40 all in although this needs to be confirmed, and also we will need 15- 20 of us before they will consider it.

They will also supply an optional stainless clamp kit for £42.31 - 30% + vat.
May sound a little pricey but you'll be safe in the knowledge that these will not damage your hoses as some clips can. Also bear i mind there are 11 hoses = 20+ clips, so we are talking less than £2 a clip.
Another thing to consider is that a small number of our pipes are alloy and therefore care should be taken when fitting.

Amber products will ask for your credit/debit card details.
Money will not be taken out of your account untill we have reached the 20 target. I was told 15-20 initially but i'm pretty sure we will easily make 20 as 28 members have shown an interest so far.
Just remember to have your choice of colour ready. Sy has put a link to Samco's website near the bottom of page one, were there is a list of available colours. I was told by Samco that all colours are the same price.

Important notice to federal specification elan owners.

It is up to you to ensure this kit will fit your elan. There is a possibility that the radiator hose may be different as apparently your rad is different to the UK elan. From what i can gather it is just angled in slightly, so they may well fit. The rest of the hoses should fit fine though. (unless you know different?)

Once Amber have recieved 20 orders they will contact Samco to produce the moulds.

So the sooner we contact Amber the sooner we will get our hose kits :D

Oh, and the sooner Grahame gets his elan back on the road

Cheers all.

Dico :D

OK - done. :D

I called this morning and added my name to the list. Apparently James will not be in until Monday, but there's a very knowledgeable chap who is collecting details and leaving them on James' desk. It seems that a few people have already called, as he knew exactly what I was on about.

I got good vibes from the 'phone call - they seem to be an enthusiastic lot. The guy I spoke to mentioned that they had just secured exclusive rights to market carbon-fibre front & rear clamshells for the Elise. He was wondering which clubs/websites to spread the word to. I suggested SELOC.

I can't get the amberperformance website either - must be some sort of temporary computer glitch - I forgot to mention it to them on the 'phone.

Glad to here its all coming together :D

Just one other thing, i meant to mention it earlier but it skipped my mind :?
If you have an SE model the hose mounting clip at the bottom of the rad will either need replacing with the S2 version, or maybe can be left off altogether ???

Perhaps someone with a little time on their hands can find a part number 8)
