Nitroman, had a shock phone call to say chassis was bent on blacky :'(, & since then have been busy fetching, stripping, cleaning chassis given to me by a very kind administrator. Now all ive got to do is fetch the car, change chassis, take car back for respray & i'm then back in the position of looking at the nice things i'm gonna put on her, so rest assured she will have the gold bolts, & your list of whats required is invaluable !

I can work at McDonald's & do better).  The only value I get is intrinsic.  I think a flat price is easier on the project leader and on the people paying.  We, the group of us all, can offer things that have true merit only because we do own the cars, and understand them.  That is what binds us all together.

Hey guys I am still at work (7:25PM) so I think it is almost impossible that I will finish in time to ship these tomorrow.  But, I promise I'll get them done this weekend & ship the lot on Monday.<br><br>Better to have them done right, and everybody gets the right bolt with instructions to put them in the right place.  I think we all agree on that!

Nearly done, and damn tired.  Advice... after you pull the black-rubber-caps off your old bonnet-stops measure how tall the old ones stand.  It will then be a simple matter to adjust the new ones to this same height. Much simpler than seeing if the bonnet is level, don't you think?<br><br>If you are getting the front S2 variety stops, before screwing in the new bolt thread the nut up the shaft, followed by the standard washer, then the big shiny washer.  It is imperative you have the std. washer in between the nut (which is serrated on the bottom) and the big polished washer... that way you don't mare the polished surface of the washer.<br><br>In lieu of that feel free to bring your car to Atlanta & I will install the whole thing.  Will also travel with tools to any Carribean island and perform the same task (on your dime!).

Everything is in a box & ready to ship.  Will ship out on Monday.<br><br>BTW, the most important point I can make about installing these bolts is to remove & replace only 1 bolt at a time.  In other words, at any given moment only 1 bolt should be missing from the car!  This is so parts do not shift or even fall (um... ask Doug about that).  So, get drunk, sleep on the cam cover, take a massive in the passenger seat... just follow the 1 bolt rule.

uh, oh yeah  :-[<br><br>I did them all one at a time except when I went to do the fuel filler door, it has a backing plate behind the GRP that it bolts to--if you take both out it falls off into the car. Then you have to remove the entire floor of the hood stowage area to get to it. This did give me a reason to get in there and clean some more stuff up (Matt knows what I mean about that I'd bet).
