Would love to but my laptop went bang some time ago and I've not been able to get another one.
Ideally I'd like to do some comparative runs on a dyno, but that would take quite a bit of money to set up and time to do.
For the moment all I can give is my recommendation.

Ah, but I've got a spare one which is still factory sealed!
So I must still have my warranty, right? :-D

i really want to hear performance opinions for the new v5 chip and especially when using the everest and elysium programs which i would be using mostly on my car. so whoever has tried these, please post your comments as I still haven't fit the new chip with the switcher on my car :)

I added some content to the site (power curves and stuff). I already posted most of it on here.

I've also added V3/4 ->V5 exchange options, so you can trade in your V3 or V4 non switcher board against a native V5 switcher (no case cuts required). They are in the upgrades section of the shop.

Alan,

Box of goodies arrived today!

Hopefully the rain will ease off enough tomorrow to fit it, thanks again.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

Alan, I take my hat off to you :-D

The whole thing looked easy in the instructions, and it only took about 15 minutes all in to fit!

The only mod to the box was making a small opening for the ribbon cable to exit, as (despite the instructions) the clip did not provide any clearance for the cable to exit the box.

Please don't take this as a complaint, it's just my observation, but if the cable went the other way through the plug, there would possibly have been a slight gap, but in order to run the cable that way, it would have had to go over the top of the plug and back on itself (does that make sense?), which would have pinched it against the case.

It really isn't a problem, a small slot in the end casing with a drill and file soon sorted it out!

It will be interesting to see what sort of difference i get, as i discovered (when i removed the ecu) that there was an upgrade chip in to start with!
Well, it was a 'Superchip', and i remember reading that it did something, but didn't offer any of your safety features.

Can you recall what the difference between the standard PROM and the Superchip is/was? and does it equate in any way to any of the 8 options i now have to play with :-D (just so i can get some sort of benchmark for my own comparisons).

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the package and its ease of fitting/use :smt023 :smt041 :smt038 :smt098

I've been searching and I can't see anyway to figure out what version of chip you have fitted?

I think I've got an Everest...but I haven't a clue what version?

I've been looking at the web page and the latest version is 4.4, do I need this and what's been changed?

It'll probably have it written on it - if it doesn't it'll be a V3. Most chips out there are V4.2. I need to update the site as well as I'm doing V4.5s now (not that they are very different to V4.4s)

I'm away on holiday until the 7th June. Any new orders won't be handled until I'm back

A slighter higher boost target at 3600rpm (0.8bar -> 0.87bar).
