This has allready been commented upon I am sure, but I have simply replaced the celery stick with a short alum gear knob and this gives a huge improvement in feel etc. obviously, since there is less leverage now it should be harder to put in gear, but it does not feel any harder to me! instead the travel is probably 20% less and more solid feeling. plus you don't feel like all the blood is draining out of your hand due to lifting it higher than your head to change gear!!!

Dave came to my house yesterday and fitted one of his Shortshift kits.

It took him a lot longer than expected as my car is fitted with AC and its right in the way.

He persevered and completed the job in about an hour.

I've been out and put some miles on the car today and I am very happy with the results.

As an added Bonus it makes the gearchange heavier and hopefully so heavy that my Girlfriend won't be able to use it... JACKPOT....

As Tony has said, the A/C makes fitting in situ a bit of a challenge. Sorry but this experience means I'm going to have to revise my offer of "install FOC if you cover the expenses"


If you have A/C fitted you will also have to provide tea, biscuits and some liquid skin
