Why didn't I think of that?
Geoff, that key seem to be that getting a custom exhaust in the us is a piece of p*ss. Hence my struggle to get enough momentum to get a peco S2 sportcat made.
What did you have in mind Geoff?
This will swap out with just 9 bolts. Admittedly the first time you try to move them they will be a tad stiff, but it's about as close as you'll ever get to a quick fix, and you can even get the bottom hole (pardon?!?) machined out of the lower part of the pre-cat to 2 1/4" while it's off.

Elanlover wrote:Matt, being in Canada its not really feasible for me to source, send to the U.S. then have resent back to me a flex section. I'd be happy to take the mandrell bent pipe and have my exhaust guy mate up a flex section here if that's possible. Not sure what that means for JetHot coating it though as I'm guessing you won't be able to weld the pipe to another section once its coated. Would you even JH coat a flex section?????
At any rate, the PCE, JH coating, gasket, bolts and whatever mandrell bent pipe elnght I can get (so my local guy can cut and weld as needed) would be my ideal order. Let me know if there's any issues with that at all. Thanks!

Enright wrote:Geoff, were you thinking that the precat to engine block bracket could be re-used purely for it's lower heat shield mounting points - the red-arrowed bolts?
