. I am sure I didn't fully exploit the grip they offer but I was finding my way, secondly was the way in which they improved the braking. My Hi-Specs are good (Red stuff pads front, Green stuff at rear) but when combined with the tyres the car really did stop. I felt that I could brake beyond the marked braking points (and did on a couple of occasions) and felt that the braking Zone was probably a little too long in some of the corners.
Took the R888s off the car this weekend to refit road tyres for the trip to Le Mans, I nearly left the R888s on but wanted to look closely at the wear on them and preserve their life for the track rather than use it up on the road. The wear is what you would expect on a clockwise circuit where most of the corners are Right Handers. Front Right tyre has the least wear, rear Right has some wear, rear Left, well scrubbed with noticeable wear and front Left is worn the most. All tyres are still road legal (tread depth) and I would expect to fet another 2 or 3 track days out of them before they become illegal for road use. I will maximise the life of the tyres by moving front to rear and vice versa.
