Image wheels Tech advice please

Postby m100sandra » Fri 19.10.2012, 12:22

I’ve just had a reply back from Image wheels confirming that they can do the correct offset on there wheels but it will depend on the calliper clearance :?: i was just wondering if anyone on here can help me out (i hate this tech stuff) i was thinking of either going 16" or 17" x 7", i have Hispec callipers fitted so not really sure if these are better re: clearance then the standard callipers :?: i was thinking maybe a ET50 :?: would look better with filling out the arches.

There reply to my email:
yes we can do the offset but it will depend on the calliper clearance.
can you confirm as our D dimension on the drawing.
regards

Which ones are you thinking of using Sandra. The reason for my question is IMO the elan doesn't look right unless it has the O E wheels on it whether it be SE or S2
But that's only my opinion
Post the ones you are thinking of using

Its a nice looking wheel
Some wheel retailers have webb sights where you can place an image of the wheel on your model of car .Do Image have this facility ,it would help to see what they look like on your Elan before parting with loads of dosh

FWIW (nowt!) :agree: But I think the 61's look most similiar to the originals, and then not much!

Those Kia wheels look great , very similar to some wheels fitted to Albert blue SE

I was running 17" Azev for a wile and think the look great

The Azev had no issues with Hi-spec brakes and although not everyone cup of tea , I think they looked great and not as dated as the SE 15" wheels

Both of the wheels in the pic look good :) Did you have any issue's with the Azev's re catching/handling etc? what off-set were they? i think the wheels on the blue car look very similar to the Kia, maybe Milimiglia (if thats spelt right :) )
