Does anyone know where the thread is that had a rundown of a load of tyres available for the Elan (can't remember who put it together)? It would be really useful to me at the mo.
Second question: I've been offered a set of Continental ( 2OS/SOVISCI) tyres @ £70 each, down from the normal £100. Does anyone out there have any experience of these?

Hi Andy,
I think you would find the sidewalls too soft. This will allow the car to "roll more" when cornering hard. They would certainly improve the ride quality, but thats not what you buy an Elan for.
I recently sent Alan McNichol the most recent tyre test survey which shows
Vredestein at the top again. Perhaps he could organise for the results to be posted. I have no experience of this tyre on the Elan, but their winter tyre was sh1t on my BMW.
If you decide on a specific tyre give Karen a ring to give you a price quote(01284 768122) were not allways the cheapest but allways ready to help.
Regards
Jim

Thanks - I was a bit sceptical because I haven't seen people write about continentals. I think I'll find somewhere that does Toyos, and go for those.
