theres some one on ebay re doing wheels for 230 a set ?
sound pricey ?

on my trawl throu ebay i have found some lotus logo wheel nuts :roll:

nice for the planed wheel stud conversion.

(Only because i can get wheels powder coated locally for £25 each in whatever colour i want - and i know how much the guy on e-bay paid for his wheels which he offering as exchange :wink:

)

Put it this way, for what he paid for the wheels, plus powder coating them, he is still up for a £88 profit! - and he gets yer old wheels too)

It all depends what prep work is done prior to spraying the wheels.

If it includes, removal of tyres, stripping, repair of all scuffs and kerbing, primer, colour, laquer, refitting tyres and rebalancing.........then no.

If its only masking off your tyres and over-spraying the wheels in the condition as they are.........then yes.

had mine done a while back........
he did everything.....tyre off....strip down....undercoat...paint ...laquer

£35 a wheel.....

I need em doing again...but thats only coz I burst a brake hose and covered one in brake fluid.....
the paint never really stood a chance :-)

Up north your looking at an average of £50 a wheel, the 1st time i had mine done was £230 but that was 2 colours and a repair to one wheel.

The ones in the photo above i did myself :-D

i will get some nice stripey yellow paint orded and a wash me gloss brush out for painting mine. :lol:

Blipi's wheels were done when the re-spray was done about 3 years ago.

Never really had ant trouble with corrosion etc but now they are corroding fine black bubbles and I'm not happy! Look like it's where the brake dust collects and I can't get the black off.

Any ideas why this could be and how I could solve it?
