Elan on Elise wheels

Postby Benmac » Thu 30.08.2007, 14:04

No, I'm not proposing actually doing this!!

However, I'd like to get the Elan's wheels refurbed at some point and I have two sets of wheels for the Elise. As such I'm just wondering whether it would be in any way feasible to put Elise wheels on to the Elan for it to sit on (not drive or even move!) whilst its own wheels are away. My thoughts being that if it is basically feasible it has to be better than having the car up on stands.

Of course I'd take pictures for amusement value.

I think the PCDs the same and am fairly sure it can and has been done before.

But it could be an age/memory bollocks thing!

Think Sy is right,

IIRC it was Costas who tested the Elise wheels out, they fitted but stuck out more cause of the offset. So should be fine for what u`r doing
