I'm in the process of restoring the stock wheels on my car and need to wrap them in
sticky tires. I'd like to go a little farther then stock size 205-45-16's. Just wondering if anyone has
gone this big? The tire is a Dunlop Direzza Z II 8.9 sec width, 8.5" thread width and 23.9 tall.

I see some of you have gone with 215-45-16's at 23.6" tall, just wondering if the 225's will be
too tall.. BTW my 2nd choice is Kuhmo Ecsta XS 215-45-16, 8.4" sec width and 23.6" tall

Thanks in advance Steve

They will rub your arches at the front on turning and your speedo will be way off......just 2 points I can think of...

Thanks for the reply! One thing I don't need to worry about is the speedo it's 10-15mph high now.
I even went as far as replacing the speedometer and the cable trying to fix it but no luck.

But if they are going to rub the liners then that's a problem... 215's it is then...
