Clutch cable broken or something else?

Postby nissias » Mon 21.05.2007, 15:37

Hi guys,
while I parked my car today, I tried to put 1st gear and released the clutch when the car was switched off and I think the cable has snapped. The pedal is found way down almost stuck to the floor. If I try to move it by hand it does move easily but it will not allow any gear to be changed. It is found on neutral.
Do you also believe that the cable just broke or do I have to check anything else? How easy is to replace the clutch release cable and what tips do you know for that? Does anyone know what price that cable is or can someone make a better one for me?

Cheers,
Nikos.
