clutch pedal

Anybody had similar problem?The clutch pedal has vibration through it when in the uppermost position am assuming its travelling through the cable,as when your foot is applying pressure the vibration goes WOndering if its a worn damper on the cable,clutch cable is expensive so has anybody done any botch jobs to stop vibration?
