I'm following the procedure
here and have removed the coolant tank.
I am looking for the speedo gear

Is this it?

Yeah, you found it!

remove the bolt to the right of the red circle only, and you can pull it out!

The reason I am asking is I think I should havea go at mine soon

I got a length of clear plastic tube about 10mm dia I think from my local aquatic centre - stuck a funnel in it and poured away....
Jim
p.s. Do not overtighten the bolt - it might shear - the manual only calls for a few ft. lbs.

That would be 10mm internal diameter or you may be some time waiting for it to fill up

I measured the exact amount that came out, to check to see if I had a leak,
and then poured in the required amount stated in the manual, which in my case was the same

"If everything is under control, you are going too slow."

Once I get the
new alloy radiator and hoses installed I'm going to use a hose with fitting purchased at Walmart and funnel to get the oil in. The hose fitting screws into the oil bottle so the mess should be minimized.

Drained the old oil and put in GM 12346190.
Running good now. The job took about 2 hours. With the right extension bar and pivoting joint it isn't too bad to get to that bolt.
