Well, I can tell you that it doesn't have an MOT, but he will be getting one (nowt stated about whether that will be before the auction runs out).
It has PAS
No idea about what was done to the suspension arms in 2010 (and nowt about it in the paperwork, or no offer to actually go and have a look!)
BUT
The headlamp motors will be sorted this week

As far as I can see ~ it's listed twice as you say
There is now a bid on one of the listing at the £3,000 starting price. I thought the original listing was at £3,000 or offers...
..I'm confused, but I might look behind the cushions on the couch to see if I can raise some funds

I would say if it was closer to me, I would have a look, and try to persuade her indoors that it would be worth having. See the ad says he has an SE in the same colour.

Same here - I have asked a couple of questions, and he is going to get it MOT'd, but nowt to say if that will be before the auction is due to end, so it is a bit of an unknown quantity at the moment.

im a bit confused.
i thought the emira was meant to be exclusively electric powered ? and not in production yet.
the ebay listing looks like a cgi/miniature model considering some of the backgrounds on those pictures.

Er no! The Emira is the last petrol Lotus to be made. Powered by Toyota V6(as Evora) or 4cyl Merc engine.
The Evija is the all electric car at £2m! The Eletre is the all electric SUV, from £90k.
The photo is of a real car, albeit LHD. I've driven an Emira on demo. Wonderful.

Cant afford any, so never spent the time looking into them.

Just out of curiosity (and perhaps a smattering of Lotus ignorance). Why do all the Lotus model names begin with 'E'?

https://media.lotuscars.com/en/blog/why ... t%20letter.
and, shorter explanation (part)
In order to avoid confusion of the Arabic number 11, which is visually similar to Mark II, he named the car as Lotus Eleven. Since then all the Lotus cars come with E lettering at the start. Lotus Emira will bar the same tradition

I believe i have heard of a certain "Cortina" lotus in the past ?
arguably those are not "made by lotus" they are just modified by lotus
by the same extent we could say there's a lotus impulse. but i suspect the Japanese didn't want the name of some obscure white people's imperialist brand attached to their cars.

As I guess most older generation ones of us know, the Escort, Cortina, Talbot and Carlton weren't strictly speaking Lotus. They were Ford Sunbeam and Vauxhall models fitted with Lotus engines (or breathed on by Lotus) and suitably modified bodies and suspension.
And sold under the major manufacturers name as halo models. With Lotus name tacked on. So no requirement for an "E" name.
