Guys...check that these are Chrome vanadium if they don't say that on the box or the tool...Do NOT BUY THEM..it means they are just carbon steel...they will break or wear out in a short amount of time...if they are for pro use surely they would make a ppoint of putting this on the Advert!....check them out first or even at half price they are the most ecpensive carbon steel spanners I have ever seen!

I have used a franklin socket set and spanner sets for several years now and they have performed very well.

They are very good value for pro stuff and they use the surface drive system...it has arcs that push on the middle of the nut flat not the edges so they tend not to round nuts off etc.

just had a quick look and there is a guy selling a set on ebay for less than mine cost 5 years ago!!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Franklin-AR205-12 ... 2|294%3A24

and he is also selling the same socket set that has given me at least 10 years of trouble free use without the snapon price tag
also surface drive

These are a third of the price of Britool or Snapon and I have given mine some serious abuse over the years and they have hardly any wear at all!

i bought these the last time they were half price, very handy but i found them to be a little soft, ie you wouldnt want to put too much force through them, thats doesnt mean much as im yet to find an open spanner im happy to give some real stick to, but it your just using them for hard to reach places go for it.
please use email for contact
