There is a tool for every operation. I love flicking through catalogues from Machine Mart and Frosts trying to identify what all of the items are for. Sometimes you come across a tool that you simply must have. But this isn't one of them.

Not yet. But I have 3 boxes full of Samco hoses waiting for me... to buy a long-reach hose clamp fastening tool.

You will learn a whole new vocabulary when you start changing the hoses. A screwdriver is great if access to the tightening head is a direct shot. When it is 90 degrees around and completely blocked by other components, a flex shaft is the only way to get to it.

There are flex shaft extensions for 1/4" drive socket kits so you could buy an assortment of those and use a standard 1/4" drive twist handle with a 1/4" drive socket. Since not every hose clamp uses the same size driver, you would have the ability to make a flex driver with any size socket.
