Auto Jump Start / Battery Charger

Hi Guys

New owner, have recently posted in the introductions section.

I am interested in buying a auto jump starter, aka a battery charger (the kind that you charge via the plug socket and then use to start your car)

Does anyone have any experience in this? Looking online I can see 4amp, 6amp, 900amp ?! ones.

Basically I want to have the ability to start my car myself if the battery is flat.

Trickle charge is not really an option for me.

Any advice warmly welcomed.

Keep an eye on your trunk/boot light as i see you had a problem. This is famous for draining the battery as its design was done by the well known automotive guru Mickey mouse! easiest fix is to remove the bulb

I bought mine from Maplins some time ago......cheap, but works a treat !
