Hi all,

I reading in this forum since many years and it helps me about 10.000 times.

I bought my Elan in 2001 and I still love this car. It´s an S2 with 60.000km. Work done:

new engine (in cause of a broken valve ), Hispec Brake Upgrade, removable front topshell (takes only 5 min.), 4 point harnesses, black wheels, corbeau seats, stainless steel exhaust,...

Thanks to erverybody who is keeping this forum alive (great work!).

Hi Ray,

not such a great idea at all because you have to cut something out of the topshell in the area of the headlightmotors. I only have done this because my topshell was slightly damaged when I bought the Elan. I would not recommend to do this on a "good" topshell.

If you still interessted I can send you some pic´s off the work I have done.

Like the idea of the removable top clam shell, any chance od posting some photo`s?

See you`ve got yellow springs on the front, what suspension setup have you fitted?

Hi Monty,

the springs are the original form the S2 (just yellow painted). I have used the GAZ dampers and the uprated springs (SJ) for the last two years, but for road-use only I think the original dampers and springs are better (and much more comfortable ).

At the moment the topshell is off for a repaint. I will post some pics as soon as possible.
