Hello everyone!just found this great site!I, am hoping to purchase an elan in the next couple of weeks.i did own one in 1996.it was a white se reg J2RTE
had it a couple of years and realy loved!
I have a ford capri 3.0s at the moment, but need a lotus!!!lol

Joking aside, well done for stepping up to the plate Rob.
Not meaning to be patronising or anything, but It's definitely good to talk, and to share ownership experiences.
There are always positive and negative points with different cars, so it can serve as a bit of a motivator to spot and then bring the dodgy bits up to scratch.
Also if either of you have suspect parts and are within striking distance of one-another, I've found that swapping bits to pinpoint (or eliminate) faults can be extremely useful.

I am starting to get more experienced with this model and having done a few jobs on mine now I can (I Hope) add some value should the need arise
