This little Pacific Blue SE will be my wifes runabout so here goes on future work.She is for sure cosmetically challenged but with a bespoke interior which is rather good. So far I have found the boot lock has been disconnected (electronic ) and a piece of pull wire fitted so that it can be opened, drivers door lock does not work. passengers door lock, lock's but wont open and the petrol flap would not open, now fixed. Her saving grace is that mechanically she is in ace condition having had a few thousand just spent on her as the previous owner had bought her as a restoration prjct which stalled due to a divorce. So now I need to find all the fasteners that hold the dash binnacle together as it is presently ver loosly held in place, fix the boot lock (change to a standard lock) as the switch on the dash has been butchered and it looks like she has had a few elecectrical issues with the alarm having been removed and central colcking only clicks on one door. So here goes the saving of another little Lotus which I am sure was going to end up in the parts bin as it had languished in the po's garage for the last two years, I suppose we are lucky in that he spent a few thousand on her to get her back up and running with invoices for loads of new parts includeing bushes, radiator, cooling pipes, fans, thermal switch, brakes front and back, new tyres, belts and a full service complete with a fresh MOT and loads more.
But I must add, she runs fantastically well with her being chipped, Sparco dump valve and induction kit.
So as with any good forum I will be looking for loads of help and advice
