I've had my 1991 elan se for 20 years. I love it and use it. I actually joined this forum years ago but didn't introduce myself.
I'm currently refurbishing the elan with a new respray and Hood.
I tried Paul Matty for some new seals for the hood but no luck. I've checked out relevant Forum and someone seems to have an alternative.
Also someone has managed to buy a set from somewhere.
Any advice would be appreciated.

just for the record I always take it out in the rain and I've just done a track day at Donington Park.

Seal maker Jamie N on here, but unsure if he's actually making them now. He will give out instructions I believe. Search "seals"

Otherwise try SW Lotus or SJ Sports Cars. Think they may have or had them.

Fredjohn is right, Jamie N is the man for seals and he is currently still making them although he is having to be more creative in the manufacture of these as supply of donor materials is becoming harder to get.

The time involved in making a set of seals has increased because of this so they don't appear too often but the quality is way superior to the original items. If you get the chance of one of these sets I recommend you jump on it while they are still available.
