Agreed the headlights are an easy fix, the mounts are not that bad as long as all of them, plus the mounting brackets, can be sourced. The more substantial items (longeron, raft, LCA) are where i would focus. If you could arrange an alignment check prior to purchasing it would be very beneficial, failing that take a tape measure between the rear and front wheel centers and compare. below are some comps of the silver car and the red car, if you know you know. If you decide to save her I believe there is a forum member who may still have 90% of the parts required, including possibly a front clam, which would save a lot of time. When it was sold it was missing so much the list just made it impractical for me when i had just been reunited with my Red M100. Anyone recommend a free hosting site i could upload a video to? other than youtube!

Esprit888, those previous fiberglass repairs go from bad to wholly horrific, as you post more photos.
In some cases, I see no actual repair work. For example, in the last photo, did they leave the shell fractured and split?

It only gets worse, underneath will give an M100 owner nightmares. Pics show the repairs that were carried out prior to my purchase, and that’s how I sold it on ( you can see the hood hinge is also bent) I didn’t carry out any repairs, there’s a lot more ‘suspect’ bodywork. The bolts that hold the clam to the front brace were not visible, because they had been filled in and painted! I’m guessing because they no longer lined up.

sounds like whoever buys this car will need a replacement clam and theres a possibility behind the scenes the chassis is bent.
a lot of risk associated with the purchase. id expect that reflected heavily on the price tag....

So I flew to B.C. and saw the car on Tuesday. I believe the frame is bent. For certain the front sub-frame (the silver box section support under the engine shows ripples and the visible lower margins have been "massaged" . . . but this was badly done). The front wheels are wholly offset within the wheel aperatures. The FR is the worst. Likely 1.25 inches moved rearward.
Paint is, at best, a 1 out of 10 in all the repaired areas. Was this painted by a meth addict with a poorly set-up gun in a dust storm?
I told the present owner that I believe the car is for "parts only". It will NEVER pass the out-of-province inspection in Alberta.

Happily, a nicer example showed up in western Canada. So I bought it.
Thanks to Esprit888 for linking the Vancouver Craigslist ad.
