I have been fortunate enough today to have purchased a 1992 SE !
I have been looking for one for some months and have been reading this forum for lots of tips on what to look for when buying.
My car isn’t without its faults, but hoping with a little time and patience we can get it back to its best again.
If the drive home is anything to go by, it looks like it will be a very entertaining car to have specially through the summer!
It appears to be a very friendly community here, and hope I can gain some advice from other members if I have any struggles in the future!

Hi Pete, welcome to the forum.
As you've probably noticed we sometimes have a meet in Essex, (when we can finally decide on when where and if there's no chance of rain

)
so another attendee to bolster the numbers will be most welcome.
As well as a few unofficial meet up's
What part of Essex are you from ?

Thank you for the welcome!
I hadn’t noticed the ‘Essex’ meets, but would be great to see some other M100’s and meet some owners.
I’m in Hockley, not far from Rayleigh.
Let’s hope the rain ends soon!

Welcome Pete,
You will indeed find this a friendly and informative collective of Elan fans. There is so much information and knowledge from members on here i'd say the challenge would be to find a problem that someone doesnt know a resolution to.
As long as its running well and stops as it should, they are a total joy to drive and will keep you smiling on every drive out as you realise just how well they handle twisty roads.
