Just wanted to introduce myself. Back in April I finally pulled the trigger and got my first lotus. I was fortunate enough to find a near mint 1991 with 19k miles on it. The PO had been a lotus owner for past 20yrs and is well versed in taking care of and maintaining them. Needless to say it runs like a champ. Not much to do except some minor interior work. Yes it does have aftermarket rims and no the offset is not correct. I will be installing the oem 16s in the winter which came with the car when I purchased it. It handles well but curious to see feel the difference with the oem. My background is in mechanics and was a VW./AUDI tech for almost 20 years so no stranger to working on finicky cars. I would like to install a mountain chip if they ever come back. But other than the lotus sport exhaust on it the car is stock. Anyway looking forward to all the info and insight I can gather from the forum.

Hi and welcome to LEC and Lotus ownership!
If your car is a "49 States" version (i.e. NOT a California car) I can make you a mountain chip, please have a look
HERE for details.
By the way, if anyone with a California car and Elanscan could send me a downloaded Eprom image I can "Mountainise" it to offer the same chips for those cars too.

Welcome!
If you put your location in your profile, it can help identify others nearby for potential rides or trouble shooting help. Even though there weren't that many imported, there are still lots of us out there.

Thanks for such a quick reply. I think I was able to add my name to the list. My car is a 49 state car. I believe its the 1499 + Everest that I want. If possible could you PM me so I could get more specifics. Thank you, Jeremy.

Welcome to LEC and Elan ownership! A few of us in the colonies here, and we have enough knowledge about the differences in our cars vs UK/ROW cars.
Just like working on the Elan, uploading photos here is difficult the first few times you try it. Eventually you'll figure it out but might have to search it again.

I see you updated your location

I think there are a few clubs in that area (depending on exactly where you live). I know the NoVA Lotus group is active and I'm pretty sure has another M100 owner there (unless maybe that is you already!
