Hi guys, let me introduce myself I'm a donkey, who's fallen in love
......... and gone bonkers by buying an S2 over the phone having just looked at pic's on my pc. I'd been looking for a nice M100 for 12 months or so and when I saw this one it was love at first sight. Also I figured if I didn't get on and buy one well... I could prat around forever just dreaming

Anyway what I was wondering was does anyone know the history of S2 no 101?
Also as it's a long long way for me to travel I've agreed with the owner to have it checked over by a garage, possibly Paul Matty's if they will agree as it's not too far for the owner and I've seen some good things about Paul on this site - does that sound sensible or would you recommend somewhere else in the midlands area?

Any suggestions welcome, so long as they are physically possible

Sheffield, if that's in Yorkshire, my geography gets a bit vague once I get past Brum':oops:'. Seller did say it was not too far a drive, bloody site closer than Guernsey that's for sure!

106 miles..... about 4 times around Guernsey!

The car has been advertised for quite a long time, so he is probably quite keen to help the sale through.

That's what it says on advert but must admit I did not verbally confirm. He's sending me some photos of interior and engine bay so I'll ask the dashboard (technical term) 'thingy' with the number on it be included.

Re being on market for awhile I've noted reading items on LEC that some say M100's don't seem to be selling so well at the moment, do you think that is true and if so is it a fashon thing or just weather is crap?':smt017'

I would think that all soft tops sell better in the spring.

IMO, Pacific Blue looks better in daylight than it does in a photo. I was not too struck on blue..until I saw mine.

No I was out of the market (and out of the island as it happened) for a lot of the summer so I didn't see this one. Not sure if red would be my first choice but WillB did tell me at begining of 2007 that the S2's don't go pink like the SE's. I'll send a PM and see if I get any response.

I think yellow looks fantastic when spotless, but it gets dirty very quickly. In the summer yellow seems to attract insects (probably not but it seems like it); Just ask Dave Eds & Chris T. 7 of us took Elans to a show in September. As soon as we parked up Dave & Chris were applying bug spray to their yellow Elans. Being East Midlanders, the rest of us naturally took the pi$$
