Hi Guys. All new to this. Had an Elan for about 5 months now, not done much with it yet. Looking to go to Donington on the Saturday but unsure what the precedure is! Do you have to be a member of Club Lotus?, Do you need tickets before you go or can you pay on the day? Any feed back greatly appreciated :)

Hi Andy. Welcome to the forum.

I don't think you have to be a member, and you certainly don't need a ticket in advance.
There will be loads of Elans all arriving together on the Saturday morning in the convoy, many of which will have drivers who have not pre-purchased tickets, so it may be worthwhile.

It will be my first year too, but the convoy is supposed to be one of (if not the biggest) highlights of the year.

re the tickets....erm if you dont mind wandering round the carpark for a couple of hours before getting in then buy them on the day.......
if you wanna get straight in then buy before...tends to be a big line waitin....as for the convoy...we all meet up check out yer ride and then hed in line'a'stern...it deffo a sight not ot be missed....as is the curry and night out before..........see the other threads for that....

The queue for tickets in the last couple of years have been enormous at 1000 when the show opens so much better to get a ticket in advance and also save £1 on the day. You can also be smug and self satisfied as you go to the head of the queue. IIRC tickets in advance are £8 and will last the w/e

That's ten o'clock that he meant, not 1000 people in the queue.

Hi Andy and welcome. I'm very new here myself and haven't even had my Elan as long as you.

See here if you fancy some company on the way to Donington. First time at Donington for me as well, so don't be shy :!:

I hesitate to call it a North West convoy, there's only two and half of us at the moment. I think !!
