New Owner - Lotus Elan SE Pacific Blue!

Hi,

I have recently purchased an Pacific Blue Lotus Elan Se, thought I'd join the forum after realising I want to find out more about the car! It is an absoloutely fantastic car, fulfills / exceeds my initial expectations. The car gets quite a few looks, especially when parked up in my drive.

The car has some minor upgrades, Drilled disks with Greenstuff pads and of course a Stainless Steel exhaust - unsure of the brand, I will be sure to get some pictures up and see if we can work it out which brand it is, its fairly old so not a Piper exhaust and I doubt its a Peco (it looks very different). Future plans will be a new Front Splitter & Tuning Chip, as from what I gather it increases boost but at a safe rate i.e. no need to upgrade the clutch / other components.

Azure blue wasn't available for S.E cars, so I'm guessing yours is Pacific unless repainted.

I will do some research into whether or not it has been resprayed.

just a personal thing but if I were you I'd get some work done on the brakes or get some bigger ones before starting on the quest for more speed.......
the std brake were only just up to the job and that was on a good day when they were working properley.......
there are many versions...wilwood...hi spec....ap racing....etc...all depending on your budget.....
just a personal preference but you'll find all the info you'll ever need on here..

You can stop better with performance discs & pads BUT...
the stock calipers are very poor at dispersing heat, so you'll end up warping the discs.
