Hi everyone, would like to introduce myself. I am Kevin and have recently bought my Elan in british racing green. I have looked at this model for over a year now and only looked at 2 before purchasing this one. I looked at Jag X types and Elises and Boxsters but still kept going back to the Elan, until one night my wife said go and get it. It is a 1992 elan s2 turbo with 115k on the clock with an absolute atlas of history and receipts and maintained from new so i wasnt unduly worried about the mileage and i had the cam belts replaced and other belts done within the week of buying even tho they were done 15k ago but over 9 months earlier.It cost £3495 as a trade in on a porsche and the garage sold it rather than auctioning it due to the excellent condition, so waiting just that little bit longer i got a bargain. I can only say the joy i`ve had driving the car over the 6 weeks has been fantastic and 2 of my 3 sons never really liked the Elan in pictures until they saw the car when i bought it and they love it. So does the wife. I have driven it for a short weekend away with the top down in this lovely summer and i can honestly say its so comfortable to ride in and drive and quicker than i had thought. Its also a hobby that i can work on should things need doing as and when they come up. What a fantastic car and it turns heads every time i drive it, as there doesnt seem to be that many around the Yarmouth Lowestoft areas. I cant wait to get home from work to take it out some nights and definitely weekends.
