just bought a 1990 blue elan se turbo(m100) and just fitted new coil packs and carnt seem to get a spark from it she has been stood in garages for last 5 years and had many hands play with it to get her stated hence the reason i bought coil packs but she wont spark can or cud any body help ,

Hi Neil, and welcome to the wild bunch!

No Spark but new coils... Hmmmzzz... I would start with checking the bond straps that connect chassis to engine block, starter motor, alternator and battery.
Also the coil base plate could be faulty, but since our little cars are known for bond strap connection problems ....

Of course, the CAS is always suspect. There are multiple fuses that would be suspect and when running, the ECM is the real controller of the spark.
