Hi, just to introduce myself.

A Lotus owner ( various ) of long standing I have been bitten again and am beginning to look for another Lotus.

The Elan M100 SE is my choice and I thought as a first step I would sign up to LEC.

Regards

Location has been updated by the look of it.

Hi Barry.
Joining here before buying is the better way to do it. Like most, I only realised this after I bought my Elan.

I believe there are southern area meets somewhere around Alton. I know you will welcomed & if anyone has actually taken their Elan at this time of year, they will show you around it.
Please feel free to ask any questions. The silliest questions are the ones you don't ask....they often have the answers you do not expect.

Welcome Barry, I followed the same path as you and joined LEC first and purchased a nice example from a member.
Good luck with the search and once purchased this place will help you keep the car in good order and the smile on your face

Hi all,

Thanks for the welcome.
I have now bought a 1992 SE in BRG with a fair few miles and a great many previous owners. Fortunately the last owner spent a bit of money on prior to sale.

I would very much like to find some history of the car - J617 CJD - if anyone out there has any information I would love to hear from them.
In case you missed it I live in the Reading area.

Regards

Welcome aboard!

I also lurked and learned for a while before purchasing my 91 NMY from another member. This was a one owner car that lived in the San Francisco bay area for all it's life. I have had her for three years and it has been an absolute joy!

Wishing you the very best with yours!
